FSC Strategy Paper for a Climate Change Engagement released
Sunday December 11, 2011
The new strategy paper was presented at an FSC Side Event of the UNFCCC COP17 in Durban. The strategy will guide FSC, the leading standard-setting organisation for forest stewardship, on how to position and evolve itself in mitigation efforts against climate change over the coming years.

The strategy paper was developed over two-year process by a balanced FSC membership body, the FSC Forest Carbon Working Group, with inputs from an expert advisory group, consultants and carbon scheme representatives.
The new document is FSC’s second thematic strategy paper after the 2004 Social Strategy and therefore represents a milestone for advancing FSC’s policy framework.
